Winter Courses - 2008
Learn to kayak or improve your technique. This course will cover safety and equipment, kayaking skills, strokes and basics to learning the Eskimo Roll! This course is suited for beginners or people wanting to improve their technique.

Introductory Kayak Course

This introductory kayak course is perfect for a person who wants to try kayaking. Learn the basics. Try out different kayaks and ask questions. Find out if this is something you like before investing a lot of money.

Eskimo Roll Clinics
Learn the skills to roll a kayak up. Down is the easy part. Learn how to roll or improve on your roll.

Pool Socials
Pool Socials are non-instructional kayak sessions for people who want to practice and keep current with their paddling skills. People that have kayaks can unload thirty minutes prior to the pool time.

Summer Courses - 2008
Kayak Course
No experience necessary! In just one fun-filled weekend, beginner to intermediate kayakers will improve both flatwater and whitewater skills. On Saturday, we paddle flat and easy moving water in beautiful Guelph. You will learn about equipment, paddle strokes, self-rescues, etc. On Sunday, we paddle class 1-2 moving water in the spectacular Elora Gorge where you will learn whitewater skills including turns, "ferries", river reading and more. This course is offered by Paddle Creek Adventures and Adventure Paddling Inc. in a joint venture.
Dates: Courses offered every Saturday and Sunday from May to October.
Cost: $169.00

Gull River
Instruction on the Gull River. The Gull River is located in Minden, Ontario. You will learn all the whitewater skills as listed above.
Dates: Every Tuesday and Wednesday.
Time: 9:30 am - 4:30pm
Cost: $95.00 one day/two days $169.00

Kayak Course - Bobcaygeon
Learn the basics of flatwater paddling. You will be paddling on beautiful Sturgeon Lake. Spend the entire day in Bobcaygeon learning how to wet exit from your kayak, the paddle strokes and much more. The lesson will take us into Bobcaygeon where you can bring your lunch or eat out at the many restaurants located minutes away. For those who like to shop there are some very nice stores there! Fenelon Falls is another option if Bobcaygeon doesn't suit your needs.
Dates: Thursday and Saturdays.
Time: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
Cost: $95.00 one day/two days $169.00

Eskimo Roll Clinics
Learn the skills to roll a kayak up. Down is the easy part. This is for people who want learn how to roll or improve their roll.
Dates: Just call and we will book at your convenience.
Cost: $50.00

The days listed above for the summer programs are flexible, if you wish to go on a different day let us know.

What to bring: Change of clothing, sun protection, hat, water, eyewear with straps.
Equipment is provided.
All taxes are included. Deposit is required. Cancellations require ten days notice to receive a refund. Kayaking trips will be cancelled due to high winds or lightening, but will continue in light rain. If a course must be cancelled, registrants will receive a credit or a refund.
Laura Tracey-Hart is an avid kayaker and became a certified kayak instructor in June of 2000.
